When was the last time you got through the news without reading or seeing some kind of police brutality or corruption? Almost everyday we see it. We are told we don't have any rights and that we can be pulled over and detained without cause. They can bust down our doors if they suspect we have something to hide. We are not free folks. There are laws on the books that they can use to put anyone in jail for as long as they want. We won't even mention the planting of drugs or false accusations they are able to trump up.
